Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. [38] Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Matthew 9:37-38 NIV
As Thanksgiving approaches, we pray in the name of the Lord that your homes will be filled with abundant blessings and peace.
The start of the 2025–2026 academic year has been a process of great joy, and at the same time, a period of patience and training for us. Working with new leaders to introduce the Cru ministry to freshmen and establish new small groups is a rewarding challenge. Although the ministry sometimes falters due to the diverse difficulties students face, through those very experiences, God has kept us grounded in His grace. He has allowed us to realize once again that all ministry is His work, leading us to our knees to offer Him all the glory and thanksgiving. We extend our deepest gratitude to all our ministry partners who have walked this journey with us through your prayers and financial support.
Ministry Highlight
Gyeongseon has begun serving with the Cru Epic ministry at Rutgers University in New Jersey this fall semester. While the late-night drive home is a bit of a concern due to the distance from our house, we ask you to pray that this ministry will become a bridge to share the Gospel with more Asian-American and cross-cultural students through freshman outreach picnics and discipleship/service opportunities for the women students.
On October 30th, we held an outreach event at NJIT themed “Pasta & God.” Due to heavy rain and the proximity to Halloween, attendance was lower than expected, with about 170 students present. However, it was a precious time where the students and leaders who stayed until the end engaged in deep spiritual conversations. While the volunteers and students who prepared and served the food were slightly disappointed with the turnout, we thank God that new students attended the following week’s campus worship service as a direct result of this event.
At William Paterson University (WPU), we have been doing campus evangelism every Tuesday since mid-October. D, one of our student leaders who has a visual impairment, comes to campus every week without fail to share the Gospel. He typically engages 6 or 7 students in spiritual conversations and personally presents the Gospel using the KGP (Knowing God Personally) booklet. One student named Ilaysia had never even heard the name of Jesus before but accepted Christ through prayer after hearing the Gospel. Another student, Luis, had heard of Jesus but had no church experience. After accepting the Gospel, he expressed a desire to read the Bible, so we gave him a copy. Since then, we have started giving Bibles to every student who receives Christ. Please pray that more students will hear the Gospel and participate in our ministry through this campus outreach.
Last semester, we continued to serve the FDU Metro campus ministry and disciple students, notably with Nahum (Class of 2025). As a result of this investment, four new leaders have been raised up this year! Through them, God is establishing Bible studies, prayer meetings, worship services, and fellowship. Many students attended the Fall Retreat, and they are now moving forward in faith, looking ahead to the Winter Conference and Summer Mission. Please pray that the fruit of the Holy Spirit will fill the campus.
Prayer requests
William Paterson University
Please pray that the student leaders will live as true disciples of Christ in the face of challenging circumstances. May God's love, manifested through their lives, spread across campus so that more students come to know and grow in Jesus Christ.
NJIT
Currently, twelve leaders are running six weekly small groups. Please pray for God's wisdom and power to be with them in all their meetings and schedules, that the Gospel may be shared with students from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, and that a flame of revival may ignite on campus.
FDU Metro
Please pray for a spiritual revival through the leaders and students, that more students may be transformed by the love of Jesus Christ. Pray that they will become disciples who make disciples.
Rutgers Epic
Until a few years ago, this was a Chinese-community-centered Christian club. Since transitioning to the Cru ministry, they are advancing with the goal of reaching beyond Asian students to share the Gospel with a broader group. Please pray for the students to unite in Jesus and work together to expand the ministry.
Ramapo & Bergen Community College
As we pray for the beginnings and revival of Christ on these campuses, please pray that the love and grace of Jesus will overflow in the hearts of the students, leading to a spiritual movement, and that the ministry will soon be established through students who love God.
Spiritual Protection on Campus
Cults and pseudo-religious groups that imitate Christianity are luring students off-campus by offering Bible studies, prayer groups, and financial help. Please pray that our students will not be swayed by spiritual temptation and will stand firmly on sound biblical values.
Health Prayer Request for Gyeongseon
Please pray for the natural healing of a lump in her chest. Also, the rotator cuff pain in her right shoulder, which has persisted since last summer, has worsened, causing difficulty in daily life and ministry. Please pray that we can navigate the process of finding a doctor, receiving treatment, and covering the related costs well.
Thanksgiving / Winter Conference
We have campus outreach events scheduled until the end of November for Thanksgiving. Please pray that the students preparing the events and the invited guests will be united in Jesus Christ. Also, pray that many students will attend the Winter Conference, held during the first week of January 2026, to experience God's grace.
For Our Ministry Partners and Supporters
We are self-supported missionaries who cover all ministry expenses through the prayers and financial gifts of our partners. Please pray for the Lord's grace and protection to be upon the homes, churches, and businesses of each and every one of our partners. And please pray that we may continue to be full-hearted Gospel evangelists, constantly seeking God's grace in the midst of challenging realities.
