Heegi & Gyeongseon 

Hello. We are Heegi and Gyeongseon Kim.

We serve as campus missionaries on the Cru New Jersey ministry team.

​In 1951, Dr. Bill Bright and Mrs. Vonette Bright started C.C.C. (Campus Crusade for Christ) at UCLA in Los Angeles. In 1957, after meeting Pastor Jun Gon Kim, they began working together, and as a result, the first overseas CCC ministry was established in Korea as KCCC.​

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)​

Cru is not only a mission of sharing God’s Word with students and young adults, but also a movement to help them live as followers of Christ, make disciples, and spread the gospel of Christ. Even today, we are active on college campuses, evangelizing and training students so that they can go out into the church and the world.​

The university students we reach make up about 1% of the world’s population, but they are among the most influential people, actively shaping politics, economics, culture, and many other fields. In addition, many students from around the world come to study at universities in the United States, and if they come to know Jesus and are transformed, they will return to their home countries after graduation to share the gospel and strengthen the church. In this way, university students are one of the most influential generations today.​

“But he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.’” (Matthew 9:37)​

As the Lord said, “the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few,” universities today are places where Muslims, Buddhists, and various cult groups approach students through cultural classes, food festivals, and many other methods to draw them into their religions. Many people are already aware that some young people have been influenced and drawn into extreme religious groups such as ISIS.

If college students follow them and no longer raise voices of prayer in the church, what will happen? These things are already happening around us and in our churches.​Therefore, we cannot give up on these students. They urgently need your prayers and support. Please pray for the next generation and share the news of campus missions with those around you.
