Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
First, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of our ministry partners who faithfully pray for our family and campus ministry and generously partner with us through financial support.
In our August prayer letter, we shared some of the financial needs and prayer requests for our campus ministry for the Fall 2026 semester. However, we have not yet received the minimum financial support needed to carry out our fall ministry, which has made it challenging for us to prepare for and begin the new semester.
For this reason, we would like to share these needs with you, our faithful ministry partners who have been walking alongside us in this mission, and humbly ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with us through a special financial gift.
1. Student Registration Scholarships for the Fall Retreat & Winter Conference — $2,000
As each new semester begins, we meet new students on campus, share the gospel with them, and help them connect with our student leaders and Christian community so that they can grow spiritually. As part of this process, the Fall Retreat and Winter Conference play an important role in students’ spiritual growth and discipleship.
Most of the campuses we currently serve are either small Cru movements or campuses where we are still working to establish a new ministry. Because of this, the cost of attending retreats and conferences can significantly affect whether students are able to participate.
Each year, we provide partial scholarships to students who need financial assistance so that financial circumstances do not prevent them from experiencing these important opportunities for spiritual growth.
For this year’s Fall Retreat and Winter Conference, we hope to provide registration assistance for approximately 25–30 students. To make this possible, we are requesting $2,000 in special financial support.
These funds will be used to help students from William Paterson University, FDU Metro, FDU Florham, Kean Jersey City (NJCU), as well as Ramapo College and Bergen Community College (BCC), where we hope to establish new campus ministries, attend the Fall Retreat and Winter Conference.
Fall Retreat: October 16–18, 2026
Winter Conference: January 1–5, 2027, Washington, D.C.
Please pray with us that through these retreats and conferences, students will come to understand the gospel more clearly, grow deeper in their faith, and become disciples who love and serve other students.
2. Basic Living Support for Heegi & Gyeongseon Kim — $2,500
As full-time campus missionaries, we rely on the faithful financial partnership of churches and individual ministry partners to provide for both our ministry expenses and our basic living needs.
This past April, we moved into an affordable housing apartment and have continued looking for ways to reduce our expenses so that we can remain focused on campus ministry. Even after making these adjustments, however, we are currently about $500 short each month of the minimum amount needed to cover our basic living expenses while continuing our ministry.
The fall semester is an especially important and demanding season of ministry. Much of our time is devoted to reaching new students with the gospel, following up with them, discipling student leaders, leading regular campus gatherings, and preparing for retreats and other ministry opportunities.
In order for both of us to continue devoting our time to meeting students, sharing the gospel, and making disciples without having to reduce our ministry involvement because of financial pressures, we are asking you to prayerfully consider providing $2,500 in special financial support to help cover our basic living needs for the five months from August through December.
Total Special Financial Support Requested — $4,500
Fall Retreat & Winter Conference Student Registration Scholarships: $2,000
Basic Living Support for Heegi & Gyeongseon Kim: $2,500
Total Requested: $4,500
Once again, we are deeply grateful for the many ways you have faithfully supported our family and campus ministry through your prayers and financial partnership.
Our desire is that this special financial request would not feel like an obligation, but rather something you prayerfully consider as the Lord leads you. Even if you are unable to provide the full amount, any level of partnership would be a tremendous encouragement and blessing to us and to the students we serve.
Above all, please pray with us that throughout this fall semester, students on our campuses will hear the gospel and come to know Jesus, and that they will grow into disciples who love, serve, and help other students follow Christ.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for continuing to partner with us in the work of the gospel.
With gratitude in Christ,
Heegi & Gyeongseon Kim
